No Gas Bill - Rented Flat
Hi everyone
I moved into a rented flat via a letting agency in September 2009. Prior to me living there, there was a previous tenant a doctor. He had lived there for a year, since the flat was built.
On moving in, there was a "to the occupier" electricity bill sent out, and we set up our account with them (Scottish Gas). We asked if they were our gas supplier, but they said no. We assumed we would get a gas bill from whoever supplies us.... and we haven't.
I spoke to the letting agency who said it was infact Scottish Gas that supplied our Gas.
Called them, and they denied this. Then called round all other major suppliers with no luck. I'm told that our meter serial number looks like its never been registered for a gas bill since the property was built.
Fast forward to Feb this year, and its still rumbling on. Ask letting agency to get more involved to help us. They speak to landlord who confirms Scottish Gas, and email previous tenant who says he was paying Scottish Gas. Letting Agency say they cant help anymore, and just to wait for a bill, it will come eventually! Speak to Scottish Gas, they cant help.
Speak to Scottish Gas in March again, and team leader says they will look into it for me, and arrange to call back. They call back and leave message to say they are still trying to get to bottom of it.
Still not heard anything, so call back again today. Still no clue. They will look into it, and get back to me on Tuesday after Bank Hols.
Does anyone have any advice on where to go from here?

How to identify your gas supplier <<<clicky"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
