  • I know its the banks they will do anything to put off helping you. They must think if they keep trying to make it hard for you you will give up and they will win, but im not giving up I will keep trying and more letters will be posted first class first thing monday morning. I have no time to write them today unfortunatley.
Well some happy news, I have been PAD'ing and got my miss selfridge card under £70 now so that will be gone by next payday easy. Its not been much to clear but a real confidence boost. Today my debt total stands at £8800 exactly as well, just hope it is the same when statements come through! Damn interest! When miss selfridge is clear i plan on concentrating on OH's Capital one card. This is £200 balance and 35% apr :eek:, hopefully with dedication it will go quickly then we can pay mine off which is the same. After those two it will be my outfit store card with a £300 balance at 29.9%apr! So four small cards to clear in the quickest possible time, I am not going to set a time limit yet just go with the flow and try our hardest to get them gone!

Have already mentioned we have spent quite a lot this month which makes me feel bad but at the same time none of it was frivolous spending it has all gone on things we do need I just feel guilty anyway. New plan is to only spend now on things i have on my 'needs' list and not feel guilty as i cant deprive myself OH and children of those things. For example I still need Cot bed and mattress, sling, bottles and baby milk, and a couple of items of bed linen and clothing for new baby. Also Bed linen and and stair gate for DS room. We need some more baskets for toy storage and a bit more paint to finish the house, as well as beading to finish the wooden floors. Im not going to feel guilty about these purchases as they are needs and we have to get them, Will just be as money savvy as possible when buying them!

Thats all for now, Going to my mums later, first must pop to tesco for a couple more bits for dads present tomorow!
  • Been a while since my last entry so thought i best update! Guess I have been feeling slightly guilty as i have been doing so much spending, but i shouldnt feel guilty because i need all these things im buying nothing is random !!!! but at the same time im thinking debt debt in the back of my mind, its so hard. I have bought since OH's payday 3 weeks ago, a lot of paint for decorating (nearly done now) chest of drawers for new baby and clothese to fill them, new summer clothes for DS and a few bits for me and OH, Fathers day presents, Bed mattress and sheets for DS, curtains for DS room (had blinds before and he was waking up really early cos of light) things for my hopsital bag and general things needed for new baby. Basically everything we have spent money on we have needed and we have gone months and months so poor and not being able to buy anything which explains my mighting spending sprees this month, baby is due in 4 weeks and i feel i need everything to be ready now!
Anyway like i said in my earlier post I need to stop feeling guilty and just get on with it and stop shying away from my mse diary which actually really helps to keep me on track!

    on a positive note
I managed NSD number 9 today, hoping i can make it or at least get close to my target but time will tell!
My parents also gave us a chest of drawers for DS's room, his were falling to bits and these ones are old but reallly well built and dead good quality so bonus there.

I will have to go supermarket tomorrow but going to be reallly careful. have tea planned for tomoorow night and sunday night using freezer meat so just need a bit of veg and some dinner bits, prob bread and sandwich fillers. Also some flavoured milk for DS as he loves the stuff and im happy cos its getting him drinking milk again after months of refusing anything but blackcurrant! So hopefully i can get it tomorrow and make sunday NSD number ten.

    Money Wise:
    Bank - £20.11
    Purse - Roughly £5 - must check.

    Monday will see £
249.76 entering my account for 2 weeks mat pay so not worried about running out before other half is paid on the 6th July. Want to ideally save £100 at least of this towards new babys cotbed which i will buy when He gets paid the week after. We unfortunatley had to tip DS's cot thsi week when we got him in the bed as its falling to bits, got it free second hand of my cousin but DS has wrecked it kicking it e.t.c, but at least we didnt pay for it i guess.
And only one more bill to pay before payday and thats my phone bill of £30 which i will pay monday. Hoping to PAD quite a bit next week, want miss selfridge card banished and owe just under £70.

Well its the start of a new month!
Must stay positive and make July work wonders for us!
July will see a lot of events for us as a family, our new baby is due on the 26th, and after seeing the midwife yesterday we know she is all set and ready to arrive, it is now just a waiting game.
    We also have :
    OH's birthday
    OH's mums birthday
    My dads birthday

So now it is the matter of staying on track with the mse whilst this is going on.
I have OH's birthday sorted, he bought a ps3 last month (not very :money:but o well it is done now)SO i have ordered him two games and a blu ray from ebay, i have also bought his cards and that will do. Note to self must control myself and not buy him anything else!!
For my dads birthday I am going halfs with my sister for a football shirt for him, so that is £20 and i will order it next week, also have his card.
SO its just OH's mum. Its her 50th so dont really know what OH wants to get her, i was thinking a nice ornament of some kind so i will have to look into that, its not until the 26th so have time (yes my babies due date, what a pita! )

All that aside i know need to finish getting baby things that i need :
    Cot bed,
    Bumper,
    Mobile,
    Baby Sling,
    Bottles,
    Formula
    .
I will get this done as soon as, im hoping to get the cot next week.

Then there is the house, the beading for our floor downstairs should be getting done a week on sunday, i think its going to cost about £50 but god does it need finishing! and we need to finish the paintwork, which basically means buying one more big tub of white paint and going to town on the back room and the hallway/landing. OH said he will try and finish back room when he is off tomorrow.

So that basically covers all my sorting my life out jobs! leaving me with my debt reducing jobs!
I need to do a new outgoings spreadsheet for july but as my month starts when OH gets paid (6th) i will get it done ove rthe weekend probably.
I know that I will definatley be saying bye to one card!! Miss selfridge's bum will be getting kicked when i clear her on tuesday, I have done quite well PAD'ing her considering all the money i have had to spend in june and i have reduced her down to abou £60!! hooray.
I will then start PADing OH's capital one card, it has a balance of £200 at 35% apr:mad: and hopefully by august that will be gone as well!!

Now must just keep motivation to stick to all these plans and get everything done, Im getting so tired!

Just dine Julys outgoings and should have £524 left after all bills and minimums are paid and that takes into account clearing miss selfridge balance completely.
I think £524 should be easily manageable if we watch what we are doing, i have changed some direct debits so they are spread out ove rthe month as our incomings are also spread out ove rthe month so this should make that much easier. I reckon we can do food for about £200 quite easily although i want to stock up on meat at costco for my freezer, but only have a small freezer so cant really spend that much! Will spend about £50 on petrol as per, and this lasts really well this month we have a quarter tank left over as been really careful.
The rest isnt needed for much, baby could quite well be here before next payday in 4 weeks as on monday i will be due in 3 weeks, i need to buy her baby sling a few bottles and some formula in. We still havent got cot which i would ideally get this payday but considering saving half the money and getting other half next pay day as we have moses basket for her.
Anything left can go on overpayments to OH's capital one card. PAD has worked really well on motivating me to pay off miss selfridge so hopefull it wont take too long to clear this £200!
    Feeling positive.
