tesco cashback problem

I recently was in tesco and I asked for £5 cashback along with my purchases, when I got home I realised that I had been charged for the cashback but hadnt received it. I contacted tesco who took my details and was told that they would be in touch within 24hrs. Needless to say they didnt get in touch and despite a number of phone calls and emails they wont respond - has anyone any ideas on what else i can do? I know its only £5, but its just the principle of the thing

Two mistakes here...
The checkout operator forgot to give you the fiver.
You forgot to remind him/her.
Shall we say blame of £2.50 each?
Don't spend too much more time on this.tonymontana wrote: »...a number of phone calls and emails...
