Dont know whether this the right forum, but in 2008 my sister transferred ownership of her car to myself in lieu of £2,000 i loaned to start up a business. Today i recieved a solicitors letter asking for the car or £1,500 as payment for the car.

All i need to know is how do i stand legally, i have consulted a solicitor and have been told that she has no leg to stand on is this correct.

Frankly I would have thought that a solicitor would know a great dela more than a set of random people on a forum. Have you any reason to doubt the advice given to you by your solicitor?

    Errr...

You have asked a solicitor and are now asking some unknown people on an internet forum to confirm the solicitor's opinion?

Out of interest, who is 'she' in your last sentence?
Your sister, the solicitor who sent the letter, or the solicitor you consulted?
