Is there a reason why you would want to keep this information from them?0

I presume the will is/has gone to probate, so the total value of the estate will be available to anyone who asks for a copy.0

No I live in Scotland so does not go to probate, just need to get confirmation form Sherriff Court to access the money in the bank.If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of car payments.;)

I would think it is only those receiving the residue/right to claim would be advised of the whole estate. Those receiving items/cash specified in Will, would not need to be told but may be different in England and Wales.0

I have been left to divide the money up in 3 ways, bit of a long and personal story, but was not sure if I give a copy of will to beneficiaries do I need to give total estate value to, there was a lawyer but they are happy for me to do it as not obviously big enough for them to bother about,If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of car payments.;)
