My daughters laptop has suddenly acquired a thickish white line right down the middle of the screen which is really annoying. Ideas anyone please

    Connect to an external monitor if the line is not present then its either the LCD panel or it's LCD inverter.

    Provide make and model of laptop and also is it still in warranty
