Hello,
Does anybody know if there are any UK debit/credit card accounts that block online gambling transactions, as they do in America?
Or alternatively is there another solution for these transactions to be blocked?
Thank You for any help.

There are some pre-pay credit cards that do not allow payments to gambling websites.
Stay clear of Splash Plastic, CashPlus Gold MasterCard or Virgin's pre paid card as these allow gambling.
There is a full list of available cards in the UK on the following site.

Hope this helps0 -
To be honest a debit card account would be most useful.0

Are you trying to prevent yourself from using a debit or credit card to fund a gambling problem?
Your best bet would be speak to these guys http://www.gambleaware.co.uk/"A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -

Indeed, I agree with CannyJock.
Also consider downloading Gamblock software which is very effective. It's also permanent so if you do think about installing it make sure you carefully read all information on the website.

I 've been beaten to it by Underground but American Express don't let their cards be used for gambling transactions.0

Sorry kerrazoo!
I've just thought though that this could be circumvented by using companies such as moneybookers, as could any plastic that was otherwise banned from being used for gambling.
Gamblers are sneaky (I should know, I am one, though thankfully under control now!) and will find any method available to get hold of funds.
Sometimes the only solution is to either block the gambling (i.e. Gamblock) or block the source of funds by letting someone you completely trust take control.
OP: if you are in a state with gambling PM me if you like.
