Nan being taking for a ride by Furnture Village

My 80 year old Nan is basically being rip off by Furniture Village and I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me her rights before I start kicking off with anyone.
She gets around in a wheelchair and we took her to the store to see this table she really like online. She bought it outright by debit card for £1000. The first table turned up but when they got it into the house they said the top was damaged and they would get it replaced. The replacement turned up and the grain is awful, lots of deep marks all over it and nothing like her first delivery or the one she looked at in the store.
They originally said she could have the old one back if she wanted, now they are saying that is damaged even more and they will send someone round to decide what to do. I really want to tell this bloke to go f himself when he turns up and demand her money back but I don't want her to lose out either on her money or a new table. What is my best course of action?
Thanks for any advice.
