Staircase handrails

Hey all! Need some help! I'm looking for a handrail for a staircase. The problem is that we don't have one in our house just now and the mrs is due our first child in the next week so we could really do with one for her holding on with baby on stairs. We are looking for one that goes directly onto the wall so that rules out almost all the ones that sit on they stupid hinges about a foot away from the wall. I have been told the type we are after are often called "pig ear" or "hockey stick" shaped i.e a long shaped bit of wood that screws directly onto the wall and has somewhere to put your hand in on the top. Does anyone know where on Earth we can find one? I'm going mad hunting for one!!!

I bought some of this from B&Q last year. It's easy enough to find in the stair-bits area. It has a funny name but I don't recall it exactly.
It's actually made by Richard Burbidge (who make lots of stair bits) so google for "burbidge pigs ear rail".
Very important to fix v securely- it will have a lot of weight put on it. ie weight of people pushing down.0 -
Ive always known it as "Sows ear" , its very common and many timber merchants sell it.0
