Ok so my sisters PB Dot S netbook has developed an issue.
The 'N', 'D' and '.' keys have all stopped working. BUT if i hold f12 they all work no issues.
So this isnt hardware but uninstalling, and updating the drivers through the device manager has not helped. Also there is no driver download on their support site so thats not an option.
F12 has no default purpose by the looks of it but its second function (fn key) is scroll lock but cant see that this is related.
Any other ideas? I am tech competant but dont have any more ideas. Ps i have done a system restore to before the issue began with no luck, also scanned for baddies with avira, MWB and hijack this and nothing abnormal is running.

Has she spilt anything on the keyboard?
Near enough the same thing happened to me when my cousin spilt fanta on my laptop.
If so, try and give it a good clean, the only other option is to replace the keyboard!
If not, then sorry I've no idea0 -

no keyboard is fine but took it out and cleaned it anyways, as i said though i dont think its hardware as it does work but only when pressed with f12.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
It's probably a hardware fault. IIRC, keyboards are implemented as matrix switches.
If you have a partial failure of one "line" on the matrix, pressing another key at the same time can provide an alternative path for the current than the broken line.0 -
Get a plug in USB keyboard and see if that works correctly, if it was a software issue that would probably not work properly either.
[EDIT] Ideally borrow one from somewhere, obviously you don't want to buy one just to test.0
