Hiya,

Does anyone know which is the right email address for Tesco so I can alert them to a problem with a food item I bought from them today? Seem to have found a few email addresses but want to be sure it's going to the right section.

Thanks

Why not ring it and ask them.
Not an expensive number is it? ;)

Going to go for an email as I have been doubled over with abdominal pains since 6pm  too much 'owwww!!!' to use the phone lol.

It's easing off a little now but nothing I do seems to make it go away.

I bought a prawn and pasta salad (£2) from tesco extra. Prawns etc all fine but when I got down to the grated carrot... one mouthful was all I managed (and all it took to make me ill it seems!) it tasted of chemicals and smells of nail polish remover??

Horrid, won't be buying that again it's not worth the stomach pains!

weirdly the chicken and honey mustard pasta salad must be delivered to them frozen. i bought one at 3am once and when i tried to eat it, it was rock solid.

Oddly enough the space for the prawn and pasta salads was empty today...

The salad should have been washed by the manufacturer in a solution which kills bacteria/bugs.
If you suspect that the salad has caused you to become ill then you should contact your GP asap so they can take stool samples to find out if you do indeed have food poisoning. They will ask you what you have eaten in the past few days, common cases of food poisoning can occur any time from 1-36 hours from eating something 'dodgy'. I would contact the Tesco store directly to inform them that you SUSPECT a salad you have bought from them has made you ill, if they take you seriously they will note your details and tell you to go and see your GP. If you get no joy then contact environmental health dept. Do you still have the salad in the fridge? They would be able to take a sample away from it and test it. I would not have thought that Tesco will just accept your word that the salad has made you ill, in cases of food poisoning you need to prove it, going to your GP or hospital is the only way to progress I think.
It would be the same scenario if you suspected you got food poisoning from eating a takeaway or in a restaurant, let the company know and visit your GP and have evidence. They will not admit liability until you can prove it. Hope this helps.
