Hi gang
I sold a laptop spares or repair on ebay 22rd dec 10 day listing, immediately got an offer I declined it ,,same buyer eventually bought it next day 23rd I listed it on a 6-8 day delivery royal mail standard parcels,,,but I was away christmas didn't expect it to go so quick,,,so I shipped it on the 30th,,,,,now the problem is this ,i posted the item got receipt and I get an email from buyer first contact since it was bought 25 days after he purchased it asking where it was,,,so I reply to him saying why on earth have you waited so long to get in touch ,,,i posted the item on the 30th explaining about being away for xmas etc so I sent copy of receipt and didn't expect it to sell so quickly,,,,,,buyers response was
thanx for repply..give me refreance then i will check were is this
item...i buy many laptops every month and i give them long tong
time for delivery......if they are not here in 10/15 days then i go to
paypal.
If this was the case buyer should have been in touch sooner on the 7 th jan NOT the 17th who waits 25days for a delivery that takes 8 or less days Royal mail are good.
This to me is very suspicious he then did a chargeback and I disputed it and paypal went in his favour, pay pal called me constantly for weeks and I eventually talked to them ,,,the guy just laughed at my situation ,,when I told him I wasn't going to pay any money back why should I they can see from the info I sent its dodgy,,,, I personally think he got the item but I cant provide proof of delivery only postage and I think he took advantage of the NO buyer protection from payal scenario,,,so now I have a collections agency on my back asking for money which im refusing to pay ,,,,,,
had a call from them young lady, asking me to pay I said no im not going to coz I think its a fraudulent transaction and she said well you have to pay as you agreed to paypals terms and condition,,,i said to her I will go to court and prove the fraudulent nature of this deal,,,she said ok and hung up,,,,,then I got my first letter asking for money ,,,,and I replied with standard letter provide me with proof I owe the money etc etc and the reply I got was asking me to go to pay pals website to see the terms and conditions of credit agreement ,,,,any advice would be helpful Matt

Ignore it and never reply.
Paypal operate only JUST within the law and the litigation department is a figment of imagination.
They will send a few letters at first.
Then they will send a postcard to you saying a 'Mr Brown' will visit you on a certain date....he will never show as he is made up aswell.
After that, nothing.

If it did go to court you, as the seller, would ahve to prove the buyer did receive the item. Thinking he is a bit iffy isn't really good grounds.
Why do you not have proof of delivery?0 -
