  • There are 4 of us going (2 Adult, 2 Kids) we are staying B&B and paying for all our park tickets before we go. I was working on £50 per day for food which I wouls have thought was plenty.

I did ask in Co-op travel about TC and Pre pay cards and they did say that alot of places now will not accept TC's. So looks like a card is the way to go! Thankyou all for all your comments

in all the holiday brochures they offer a kids eat free card if accompanied by a full paying adult in florida, most of them get issued at welcome meetings etc by the reps.
they had them in march when i was there but never bothered as my daughter is only 2 so did not pay anyway.

well you learn something every day - I've never been on that sort of holiday before :o

If you are going to be eating in restaurant type place and enjoying a decent 2 course meal each, you're £50 won't be anywhere near enough - especially if you're going to have something (anything ?!?!?) for lunch or a snack. Alternatively, if you're going to be eating at McDs or Subway all the time, you'll be fine.

I think £50/day might be too low too - at the current exchange rate that's about $18 per person per day...that's not going to go that far unless you stick to fast food...and sticking to fast food for 2 weeks will get old quickly (at least it would for me)...and prices in the parks aren't that cheap.

Not sure how updated this is, but gives you an idea (and this is just fast food and snack sort of things - not restaurant meals).

Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

If you find yourself near a Golden Corral you''l find some very good value, serve yourself, buffet style food. Its not going to win any culinary awards, but it''ll fill you up, for not so much. They must be fairly good, judging by the number of police that were eating at the one that we were in !

the one opposite the hotel i stopped at was fine, would not want to go there all the time mind you.
went twice 1 breakfast and one evening quickly while en-route to the night time parade at magic kingdom.the one i went was on sand lake road opposite quality inn international.

another good budget meal was cici's on idrive, think it was about $8 including soft drink for all you can eat pizza, pasta, salad and a selection of cakes, very nice for the price paid.

but as said if you want decent restaurant then you will need to budget more than 50 a day,we went to salt island on idrive one night 2 adults and 1 child bill was about $120 was bloody nice there though.
