Kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarm

I bought this alarm for my house when I moved in in January. It went off once but nothing until last week during the really hot weather. All my doors and windows were open, boiler off, yet the alarm went off. So I put the alarm under a pile of cushions as my daughter was asleep upstairs and got on the phone to a gas technician as I started to panic.
Was advised that it was unlike that since we had no ill effects and that since the house was so well ventilated, that there was any carbon monoxide and it was more likely to be a faulty alarm. So called the manufactuer, Kidde, to explain this to them.
With no questions asked, they are sending me not only a new alarm, but the higher spec one with a digital reading so I can see if there is indeed any carbon monoxide as the alarm level is very sensitve.
What brilliant service. And I will now be a customer for life as I know if I ever have a problem it will be sorted. Thank you Kidde.

Nice one. I've got the same one, bought it cheap from Home Bargains. Not had a problem with it yet, so happy.0
