Car swap, France/UK

We are in France, flying to UK for a week at the end of August, Poitiers to Stanstead. We were wondering if it is possible to swap cars with someone doing the opposite? Looked for sites to cover this and couldn't find any.
So has anyone ever done this sort of thing, any pitfalls and where did you find the swapper?
I have checked with my French insurance and there isn't a problem.
