4day old fridge faulty no repair dont know which way to jump

hi was after some advice as not sure which way to jump just purchased an LG american f/f from littlewoods,4 days ago along with 2yr ex warranty, the fridge door seal keeps coming away and jamming in the dr so cant close until u rub your hand all the way up to push it back in. on calling littlewoods for a repair -didnt really want to complain for replacement over something fairly minor besides being so big delivery is not simple and have no where to store food while the new one settles in,i was told that there is no repair service on LG and that i could either have replacement or 5 %knocked off the cost if i was prepared to accept the goods in that condition, when i said but i also took out the warranty she said"thats right if it goes wrong in the nx 4 yrs we cant repair just replace" now im thinking have i got a blinder here that in 3 1/2 yrs time something minor could go wrong and i get a new f/f:T OR i have spoken to one of the many call centre staff that havent got a clue and in fact in 3 yrs time i find ive paid for a completly worthless warrenty
But my biggest dilema now should i take a replacement or accept the 5 % discount -only 35 quid and stick the seal down myself, im just worried that taking either action may invalidate warranty for future problems,if you accept a discount in a clothes store for soiled goods you cannot then return.
please help need to let them know while time is still very fresh on my side!!!
many thanks charlie x x

Replacement, could be one of the Friday afternoon specials...when a rush job was done to get it finished.
get the new one delivered on your terms..IE: run down your frozen and dont replenish your fresh..£35 off.. they are having a laugh.....
I have nothing better to do!!!!

Now you could be crafty and get the 10% off or even haggle for a little bit more then ring LG direct and ask them to come out to you

great minds think alike deanos :rotfl: that was my exact first thought but then thought after it may affect the warranty in future ie down the line fridge doesnt get cold enough they may use excuse the seal not sealed properly and cos i took the discount on that perticular fault its my own tough t***y, thanks for the link tho its funny but when i tried contacting LG on the number that came with the fridge couldnt get past their answer phone even tho looking at this they should of been there.but littlewoods told me LG themselves do not do repairs which i find unbelieveable!
have just noticed seal comin away half way round the door now so think i might do what startrekker suggest's and take the replacement
thanks 4 ur help guys

I'd replace if it was bought new. Amazon offered me 25% after my camera arrived in a less than perfect condition (just before xmas and the camera was £600!)
Ring LG - Top quality service and brilliant company. Can't go wrong with Korean = )Tim0 -
yeah it's brand new and cost 750 quid so i think a 5% discount is a bit stingy0

LG's head office number:- 01753 491500, cheaper than the 0870Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0

Get it replaced - you paid for something in brand new condition, so that's what you're entitled to. It will be a bit of a pain, but that 35quid could probably buy you a freezer from a 2nd-hand shop or out of the classifieds to cover you till the new one arrives.0
