in Credit cards
I am a postgraduate research student with a tax free income of £9500. I have a mortgage joint with my husband which we have no problem paying. And a credit card with my current account bank which I have paid late once (only 2 days late and it was cos i was ill and they gave me the money back when i called).
I was hoping to get another card with a better deal - possibly 0% for a few months as we have some expensive things to buy and only get paid 4 times a year!
Am i dreaming? I applied for on which was supposed to be specifically for people with a low credit rating (though i have no idea why my credit rating would be low, if in fact it is) and was turned down.
I don't want to apply for another and get turned down again. What should i do?

do you think that the fact i have been turned down for one will affect my chances though? I don't want to get into a position where i can't get any credit cos i've been refused for so many cards0

it might. my flat magte got refuse on mint because he has a stupid home address (very remote, new build etc) but egg accepted him no problem0
