By the way not always 5* occasionally 4* and a couple of 3* thrown in, (they were in Venice so we put up with it)!I know that CLC are not good for everyone and need to clean their sales act up.:cool:I do accept that if they bought from CLC they will not get all of their money back,As we agreed no little or no financial valueI would not advise anyone who wants to holiday during peak summer months to join CLCI would not advise anyone to join CLC if they want to holiday in school holidays!CLC weeks are far to dear on maintenance to be anything like sensibleI have posted several posts to compare with marleyboys links (not as many admittedly)I have said that if anyone is considering membership, resale is the best way to go. Even with the admin charge it is far far cheaper than through CLC sales.
I really dont need to put any words into anybodies mouth, I can simply post your own admissions, and EASILY top it off with.......

OK, 1 debating point to you, you said it was from that website, but bigger debating point me, you denied saying something which you clearly did say (& if you say I said Devonport, not Devoncourt you are a bigger waste of space than I ever could have imagined).Oh dear, you just have to be rude don't you. The post although made by me was a copy of a post made by the lady who made the complaint in the first place. The words were hers, not mine! Please try to be civil with your posts, it shows you up in a bad light!
However, you missed the biggest point, that the problem has been going on since Sept 2009 and multiple guests have experienced it - so your contribution was not balanced but highly selective as most of your slippery answers are and probably why you ignored my question because you knew the answers would be embarrassing to you and CLC. Not really my contribution as stated above.
Seeing as we're talking about compensation - do you know how much has CLC paid to members missold memberships? No.
Also, in terms of compensation why have CLC only offered 50% refund of points to a diabetic patient who wants to cancel going to Turkey because of an outbreak of food poisoning at the resort? (Diabetics have to manage their food - sugar - intake carefully and having norovirus or similar could be very dangerous to them. Another example of the kind of company it is. I do not know, but as a diabetic myself I would certainly be pushing for a full refund if it was me. The initial offer I assume is in line with their printed policy on cancellations but I know they can be sympathetic with special cases.
You must know by now this is a moneysaving website, not a give loads of money to scammers website, & the best way to save money with CLC or any holiday clubs is not to touch them with a bargepole, and the longer you persist with promoting them, Once again, I do not promote them but simply say how I find them from experience the more people will be warned about CLC.0 -
pretty sure you have misunderstood marleyboy's post, and he hasn't put any words in Martin's mouth, he really did say that here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/45859DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE!

You really are desperate arent you? Its sad really because your still not making any sense, nor offering anything to support your cause, if this is some vain attempt to convince people exactly WHY you think CLC is worthy, regardless of your admissions........I do not have a cause. Almost all of my posts are either answering questions put to me as best I can or just saying that vacation club is working well for us!
*2 links is a couple NOT SEVERAL. It was 5 links with multiple entries.
Such words that I have not put into your mouth, yet they seemed to have oozed from it. ?

I know that CLC are not good for everyone and need to clean their sales act up. Correct and of course the members are trying to help sort this as has been said

I do accept that if they bought from CLC they will not get all of their money back, You missed out:That is why it should be considered a long term investment in holidays not a financial investment
Quote:
As we agreed no little or no financial value You missed out where I said that I considered it an investment in holidays, not a financial investment
Quote:
I would not advise anyone who wants to holiday during peak summer months to join CLC You missed out that I considered it best for people who can be flexible in when they take holidays or take them off peak.

I would not advise anyone to join CLC if they want to holiday in school holidays! You missed out as above

CLC weeks are far to dear on maintenance to be anything like sensible You missed out where I said that is why we moved to points as it is far more economical

I have no absolutely no idea what I will lose, and I agree, you have made your position as clear as you can, as I am sure we all have.
I suggest you now pride yourself with doing those better things with your time and giving this one the slip, I am pleased it works well for you, and your point has been made.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Again, if you are going to debate, please keep it civil!
You don't debate, you're just a wind up merchant, the kind I meet in my ambulance after being out for a drink and getting glassed - claiming "I didn't do anything to them".
You clearly can't stand it when you are shown up to have mislead and hate to admit you are wrong. Maybe you've loaned toproboy your ID, because he wouldn't admit he was wrong either.

Every year the membership was held, two weeks in a 1 bed unit with a few points left over if booked now. 4 weeks in a 2 bed with points left over if booked last minute and subject to availability. As I said, I would not advise anyone to join CLC if they want to holiday in school holidays!Sorry, I thought it would be clear that the part of the post that was eroneous was: Or to cut it short if your looking for a more reasonably priced holiday, at a time that is more suitable to you. its far better to avoid CLC completely and shop elsewhere. I am glad Maksipup has finally got round to admitting this.
Just not true was it?

I'd have a £5 on that, but if not editing, then frantically re-interpreting as he clearly does not know what he (or maybe his alter ego) has written. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings
