Do magazines have some sort of watchdog?

Hello,
I submitted a letter to a magazine about winning a small amount of money. The letter was published and they blatantly added a few noughts to how much I had won. I wouldn't mind so much but they have printed my full name and city, what if someone saw the letter and assumed I'd won. Does anyone know if there is a regulatory body for magazines. It's also the principle of the matter because they are lying and I don't want to be a part of it, I'm not that sort of person. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

Could you get them to print a retraction.Could you also get the company who awarded you the money to give it to you in writing. If necessary you could contact BEnefits agency before they contact you.Are you sure its just not a printing error. What have the magazine said so far?0

Maybe the press complaints commission http://www.pcc.org.uk/index2.html
they cover magazines as well as newspapers. Which magazine is it, it my be there are other regulatory bodies involved depending on the magazine."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I've just remembered the name of the organization I was looking for - the PPC. Just reading up on it now. Thanks0
