There's a countdown game, maybe that would be a fun way for him to come up with words and therefore learn to spell them0

Is there a scrabble game for it?May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

I have the word coach, but it's mainly vocab building.
What about the junior brain trainer? It says up to 11 years though, so might be a bit young for him???
There's also the word academy which might be better?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Try spellbound. It's like a spelling bee, where the ds says the word and you type it, theres also other games, all based on spelling. It can be set according to age and ability and 4 people can use the game as it stores their info too
:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly

i like the idea of a countdown game we love countdown

there are a few on pc which are free if you google and it would be a much larger screen for your child to look at:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0 -
would agree with scribblenauts as it is more a fun game than some of the obvious "learning" games but yes it is better if he can be creative with the solutions and not always use the same items.
Played it with DH's cousin's 5 year old at Christmas and he had a great time - obviously wasn't really spelling things himself but had great ideas. EG "What can we use to knock over this? We need something heavy." "Mummy's handbag!" He played it for hours and learned lots of new vocabulary and thinking outside the box!0 -

Try tutpup.com, its online and they play against other kids, my very reluctant speller really enjoyed it.Always on the hunt for a bargain0
