Bizarre, I have the same problem.

From what I could work out from the manual and googling it, when the unset light flashes constantly (on both the setting panel and the main control panel), there is a problem with the battery to the main control panel. I have a company coming to fix mine tomorrow so I shall pass on what they say!

    Try this?

Page 4 To Set the System With a Power Fault

Cause, most probaly a dud battery or battery not charging for some reason or fuse gone on pannel.

On the Veritas 8 models - The power light on the panel will be flashing to indicate a power fault , either mains fail or battery low volts. (bleeping 10 times and will not set) Mains frequency may be set incorrectly (unlikely I think) Procedure for setting the system in the event of a power fault is described in the user guide.
Taken from my installation manual on my 8compact.
It sounds like the battery at least needs replacing.

    Hi elantan,

Sorry for the delay...as I suspected and others have mentioned, its the battery to the main power panel that needs replacing. I was not confident to replace it myself, but, it is detailed how to do it in one of the manuals p:9 of the installation manual (p:15 troubleshoots as well). I got an alarm company to come and do it for me. It is 99% a battery failure though.

Hope you get it sorted :)
