If you want to use that you'll need to go to the VBA editor (press ALT&F11), double click on This Workbook in the left panel and paste the code on the right panel. Only problem with it is you'll need to make sure macros are turned on for it to work.
I perhaps make the (wrong) assumption that you (OP) had a basic understanding of Excel Macro Code..........Sorry.
Thanks to PilCo to give further explanation on how to insert the code into the VBA editor.
If you are going to work with Excel then a rudimentary understanding of VBA is normally essential. A good starting point is 'Excel VBA Programming for Dummies'.
If you are still struggling, PM an email address and I'll give you mine so you can send me your file (or I can send you a blank file with the code attached you can copy/paste your worksheets onto).0 -
Vomityspice that is very kind of you, thank you for your suggestion and offer. This is the reason I always post on this site; the people are genuinely helpful.0

This macro is not necessary, there is no fault with Excel 2003. This is simply clicking the wrong button. Click the correct response you'll be ok. I've seen this over and over again.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

If Excel is behaving as suggested then something is wrong as you should be prompted to save if unsaved changes exist for each open workbook.
So can't agree with above0
