M&S Dine Thur 27th to Tue 1st June + wine glitch!

Hi,
I went in today and the cashier swore blind that I couldn't combine the two deals. I had DH there to carry the wine and sent him off for 2 more bottles of wine and then persuaded the cashier that maybe she should put it through... just to check...
went through OK and cashier looked at it all with very wide eyes.

Just had in confirmed on another forum that BEER some how counts as wine in the world of M&S. So buying 6 bottles of beer would get you the 25% wine discount.

That also means then that you don't have to buy more wine to go with your Dine in's you can buy beer instead. As long as the total is 6 bottles of wine, beer of champagne, 25% comes off the price.

Still working today. DH went this morning and got 3 of the £10 deals plus another 3 bottles of wine for a total price of slightly over £36. The 25% off the wine definitely worked.

However, as he was leaving the shop, the bottom fell out of the wine carrier and the bottles all fell on the floor. One smashed, the others (miraculously) didn't. However, M&S replaced all 6 bottles. :j

He'll use the Collect By Car option next time.

Has anyone tried getting 3 dine in's using 3 oakham chickens as the main. Because the chicken is part of the 3 for £10 poultry offer would it take more off like the wine glitch?

I bought three chickens on Thursday, and the only reductions showing on my receipt are the wine discount and the dine in for £10 discount, so looks like not, unless the poultry offer started after Thursday

just been into town with a mate and we got 3 meals each and split the cost of buying it all in one go. The 25% off wine worked and we got the 6 meals for total of £52.

I was going to get this six times and put some in the freezer but they hardly had anything in my M&S so I got it once and five other bottles of wine. Got a couple of expensive bottles (£17 each) for a friends birthday thats coming up and the rest were all about £6.00.

Also got the three for £10 on meat but they would have been mega dear on their own. One of the packs was some pork ribs that should have been £8.24 (no way).

Got some jersey new potatoes on whoopsie at £1.00. They are 50% off at the moment and should be £3.99 for 500g :eek:

Altogether saved £35.

On the chicken front, ours was 1.86kg @ £6.41. Spatchcocked (oo-err) and BBQ'd this evening - yum! Plus they are soooooo much tastier than cheap supermarket ones.
