Hi,

I was wondering how I go about pruning pampas grass. I haven't done anything with it since we moved in 5 years ago and am quite clueless about what to do. Can anybody advise me please?

hi. From my experience, some good gloves are a must. The leaves can have very sharp edges! Wear long sleeves and long trousers too.
Cut them pretty hard back, about 12inches above the soil in winter Jan/feb time. We used to use a chainsaw on ours lol.

fully agree gloves are a must. we use a hedge trimmer to cut ours back. good hard cut back is good.
now for good grow back i heard somewhere that you can burn them back (would trim bulk first though)but not tried this myself as ours is to close to a hedge.might be worth a google
