    Centre of temperature gauge is normal on most cars - it is easier to se if there is a problem. I suspect your previous car had a problem as staying at the bottom isn't normal, unless you only do very short journeys and the engine never had time to warm up - a common issue with diesels.

    Your last car must have had a defective thermostat. Around the middle is normal for 99.999% of cars.

    Yes - it would normally sit at 90 degrees temp on my Berlingo.

    It will go higher in standing traffic and the fan will then kick in to cool it back down
