Bank Accounts following the Bank of Intrest Base Rate

I have been doing a review of my finances and decided to go into the bank in order to find out the intrest rate on a on line account. I have been using the account regulary and no one from the bank has informed me that it really is not the right account for my needs. (now why does that suprise me). Apparently loads of people are being caught out. So for all you new bees, check the intrest rates on your old accounts. I and others have lost loads. Apparently, the rules are chaning in the next month or so, which will mean that banks will need to let you know that the rate has droped. Up to now, the bank advisor told me, it has been left up to the person to notice that the rates have changed in national newspapers where articles have been placed from time to time.
