Good for you Welshy - not sure it will do much good though as it appears that Netto exasperate the situation (if that's the right term) with their lack of readiness for the obvious chaos that they cause.

Might be 'exacerbate' (or so Google tells me).

I went to the Wallsend branch this morning, having never been before.

By the time I got there (9:03am) I was told they were all sold out

I saw one outside someones house today on a main road Commuter route saying Free Help Yourself, It was a proper car seat too not a Booster, was tempted as my little girl is going to be moving from her stage 1 car seat soon, didn't dare get it in case it seemed i was a scrounger.

Hiya wondering if any other MSE peeps got there £2.99 booster seats at Netto today ?

I queued outside Netto to get the £2.99 booster seats for my car as the law changed today. When they opened the doors, there was a mad rush and complete chaos (similar to the Ikea 1p chairs). As I took 2 booster seats for the car, a man grabbed my wrist and tried to pull my hand away, resulting in bruises and scratches to my wrist (my workmates thought the kittens had got me !). Anyway, he stopped trying to get my one when he realised another box was just being put out.

At the tills it was limited to 2 per customer but I was shaking like a leaf when I paid and was completely and utterly amazed at how the people there behaved. It was sheer madness. They sold out in 5 minutes at my branch

  • Following my complaint to Netto after my last visit to the store. I received this reply today:

Thank you for your recent mail.

Initially I would like to apologise for the experience you had in the
store. I have informed staff of the problem you encountered and asked that
they monitor the shop floor closely when we are running any popular
promotions. We will have more stock of the booster seats from Thursday
    28th September.

So, if any of you missed out last time, check your local Netto next week as they are selling them again at £2.99
