I can't get used to it either LOL - it was right after I joined, so never expected them to do it after the first month, oh well, it's still me under here :D

Week is going well so far, how is yours?

    Morning all!!

Well, it’s a new week with new opportunities! How was everyone’s weekend? What did y’all get up to?

I had an excellent weekend, [in anticipation of you asking LOL]. Friday night was over my friends for a BBQ. It was good to catch up. Saturday I saw another friend of mine that I’d not seen for a while, followed by cooking for OH in the evening and then watching a movie. Sunday it was my niece’s christening, for which I was a godfather, so that was nice, then in the evening another BBQ for the world cup final.

Today back to the grind! The office is hot today, so that’s not good, but hopefully this will be another quick week! No debt busting/reducing stories this weekend, however, I have my money bags ready to take my coins to the bank. My dad is giving me money for my old iPhone this week, so that will go on debt, I also won a world cup dream team thing, which will net me £120 this week, and I’ve also agreed to sell an old camera for £150, so that’s an extra £370 toward the debt as soon as I collect!!

Have a great day all J

    Hi Adam,

Sounds like you had a good weekend, nice to be a godfather as well.

You may not have any debt-busting from the weekend but sounds like you have an all-out attack planned this week from winnings etc!

Dammit, there was me over on my diary getting smug thinking I'll beat you at the 1st Sept challenge as I've picked up an extra job but I can see that I'll need to step up my game! :D

Oh you'll need to step up your game all right :D

Although, the bulk of my debt is an £18k loan, so to get my DFD down a month, I need to make a huge dent in that, which doesn't look likely before then. Anyway, I will get the Egg one cleared, and we shall see :)

    Aloha!

Sounds like you had a good weekend and the money is rolling your way at the moment, do you fancy predicting me some lottery numbers? :rotfl:

I have just realised that I haven't been to a single BBQ yet this year - that sucks! I love a good barbie :(

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

I wouldn't say rolling my way, but I've sold a few things. Just turns out they've gone before eBay, so I was going to sell them anyway :)

    However, for some lottery numbers, try 5, 12, 18, 23, 38, 45, 48 :D (if you win, I want a cut LOL).

You better get in on the BBQ act! It's a crime to be British and NOT go to a BBQ in the summer! And on a slightly down point, a guy I used to work with a few years ago called to see if I was available for a project to start immidiately for a lot more than I'm earning now, however, I'm tied in here, so had to say no :(

I've noticed it's very quiet around here recently - I don't know if it's just me, or if other people have noticed this too. Perhaps it's the summer months and people are just out enjoying themselves rather then being stuck to a computer all day?

I can't stop looking at my outstanding balance figure of +£21.5k I really need to bust some of this at my next pay date. I really would love to get the Egg card cleared soon, but at nearly £800 outstanding on that, it's not looking likely to be done until my September pay :(

  • Congrats on being a godfather again. I think you're right when I have been on here it's seemed quiet - probably the weather.

Looks like the debt busting is going well too! :D Enjoy clearing that Egg card.

We managed to squeeze in 1 BBQ before the weather turned

Has been very quiet hasn't it? I blame the weather!!

Keep thinking positive with your debt, don't be disheartened because you WILL get there! And besides, I'm going to win the euromillions tomorrow night with the numbers you posted (I decided it was for the euromillions as you listed 7 numbers and not 6 ;)) and obviously I will give you a nice tidy cut and we can be debt freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :j.................well we can all dream :rotfl:
