Failure to relicense
I have a question regarding relicesing of a vehicle. If you fail to relicense the vehicle and the current license has expired by over a month and also requires an MoT certificate, how do you go about getting an up to date MoT certificate if the vehicle isn't licensed to be on the road?

You can drive to and from a pre-booked test at a registered MOT station without a tax disc. You must however go to a local station and you must take a direct route (eg, you can't call to the local shop on the way).Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Is the car SORN?0

If the car is not on a SORN, buy your new tax disk and then phone your local DVLA office and they will tell you the amount of tax due for the missing month (cost is prorata). You can then send this by cheque to the local office along with the number from you log book. This avoids any issues about the missing month. How do I know - didn't receive renewal notice and bought tax disk 6 weeks after my old one had run out.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
