Which? tested gloss paints in April 2006. The well-known eco paints did very badly in tests. The best eco paints were Hickson Decor and 'Green Paints'. HTH0

We have been using environmentally friendly paints for a few years now - hubbie painting as I type. I am very pleased with the results and would not go back. We have 3 boys and durability has not been an issue. We did open a pot which we had stored with a bit left in it (approx 4 years and it had gone mouldy). My only other comment is that the colours do not always come true to the samples/charts so make sure you buy enough of the same batch. Think of the environment and the fumes in your home and give it a go:DThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
