Hi, Iv been phoning around the various debt advice/councelling agencies in the yellow pages, but cant find any that are willing to help with my debt as its only around 2 Grand.
Does anyone know of anyone that gives advice on how to deal with debts of this size?
Thanks.

Debt is debt, no matter how much - a debt of £1,000.00 can be as worrying as a debt of £1,000,000.00 if you can not afford to pay. Some companies appear to hassle the 'lower' debtors more because it is usually easier to collect, since this section of debtors is, often, less aware of their rights.
So please don't be emabarrassed at the size of your debt. I would suggest, first of all, that you talk to the Citizen's Advice Bureau, Links above, as they may be able to sort you out on a plan without resorting to other agencies.
Secondly - put the details of your debt on this thread.
Good Luck - and you will receive lots of advice on this site.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

OoH thanks everyone

I phoned Payplan, they told me something shocking: That because my income is low and I cant afford to pay my creditors that I can pay £1 a month to each of them!
I did already post a thread asking for help with my income and outgoing in it, but it got lost to the nether pages of 7 or 8 last time I looked, and I wasnt sure if you`re allowed to `bump` threads in this forum or not?0 -
Yes bump away
