My dishwasher doesn't drain. Pls help

My 10-year-old Zanussi now doesn't drain. When turned on, the dishwasher just goes on and on, never stopping. When I manually stopped and open the machine, there is much water left in the base.

I tried to replace the pump and let the machine start to test.

Still, the dishwasher operates on and seems never to stop. Then I open it, and the problem is still there.

Could you pls advise?

Or you can go to the search section of their forum and put your model number in, usually someone has had a similar problem.

Start by checking that the drain hose is clear and has no kinks in it.

Don't know if this will help, but and old DW of mine used to do this now and again. I used to sort of 'kick start' it to drain by lowering the hose onto the floor (into washing up bowl) as the water drained out, I would turn it on and it drained again as it should. We limped along like this for quite a while.
