beware ink is all I can say RZL. We bought a cream leather suite when we moved here (old suite wouldnt fit in the door:mad: ) and though I love it I do notice the dirt an awful lot more than i did with the black one. Then maybe all that means is my old suite was filthy! I have now got 4 BIG pen marks from when dh has sat down with pens in his back pocket    I cant get it off.

try spraying hairspray on, and then wiping off.

alternatively, lakeland sell a little bottle of lotion specifically for getting ink off leather suites, and it works miracles. make sure you follow the instructions though, as it can burn through the top layer of the leather

I've just ordered it, looks perfect for the job and a damned site cheaper than the £49.99 one that DFS tried to sell me! My first time on the lakeland site, spent AGES browsing.

  • i have a leather sofa it is black but its the best sofa ive ever had, it wears very well we have two dogs, one cat, two kids husband and me who use it all the time and i think it does not really look much different from when we first got it 2 1/2 years ago, i used to use baby wipes on i when kids were smaller then used damp cloth and have just brought a packet of nourishing wipes from tescos which im sure the sofa really appreciated lol, if and when i need to replace it i will get another leather sofa!

Lakeland's site is nearly as addictive as MSE;) beware it can be expensive when you see all the gadgets you can't live without:rolleyes:

We have staining from jeans on ours and a professional cleaning company have said it doesn't usually come off.

Any ideas on what I should try?
    It's bluey colour.
Perhaps the cleaning company don't want to take a risk with harsh chemicals.
I'm prepared to take a risk as I can experiment in hidden areas first.

The Perfect Leather Solutions pack I mentioned earlier took the ink out (over a few cleans) no bother, and didn't seem to be harsh on the leather. The guy cleaned it for me himself first, and then I bought the pack and followed the instructions. Even the first time he did it, it lifted a huge amounf to the jeans dye off - he had a white cloth with him, and it was deep blue when he'd finished. After that it took about 6 or 7 cleans by me to get it back to the original colour. Sorry I can't remember how much the pack was, and their website is very basic - you need to email them for info.
