Pension and Job Seekers

Hi, as a result of being unemployed I have explored taking my private pension early. It's not much but someone warned me that once a pension starts to pay out you can't then go seek income support or job seekers allowance ever again. Is this true?. Currently not claiming JSA etc. Could someone advise please. Thanks
