Hi. Wondering if anyone can help me?!!
For the past 12 month I have bn on maternity leave. I got paid for 9 mths and the last 3 mths has bn unpaid.
I get Working tax credits aswell as Child tax credit. Because I haven't bn paid for the last 3 mths should I stil have bn claiming Working tax credits? And if not, will they want money back off me?
Saying that, I haven't earned as much this tax year as I said I would, so would I be entitled to any extra there?
Confused!!! Can anyone help me?

Hiya i was also on maternity leave for 9 months this year and so asked about my working tax and child tax credit.
They told me i was only able to claim working tax credit and childcare element for 39 weeks of maternity leave. After that your not classed as working and so you should have informed the tax credit line really. It is possible you will have to pay some back depending on how much your income has dropped. Dont forget you can take off £100 a week of smp up to 39 weeks off of your toatl income for the year!0
