Changed to bt how to get emails?

have changed provider how do i get my emails from a previous email address stupid question i suppose but my computor wont allow me to send an errror screen comes up going off about lack of actitivity, we were off line for a month so when we switched on over 1000 emails god help us now nothing? :cool:

If you've changed providers, the previous company may have deleted your e-mail account thus the message about lack of activity. Not quite understanding the last bit about 1000 emails - sorry!

sorry bad day, we have been off line for over a month /moved house... changed provider to bt switched on windows mail and received over 1000 emails which must have been held in the system... we are receiving mail on the old email address but cant send and cant set up email account with bt as the system wont allow our password.

sorted thanks, BT had given us one password and recorded another so system would not allow access,
