Cresta Holidays

I booked a long weekend to Dublin for my boyfriends birthday with Cresta Holidays. I haven't got much money but I wanted to make it special and book a nice hotel. I came across https://www.crestaholidays.co.uk and found a fantastic hotel. At £340 for 2 nights with the 3rd night FREE, it was still a bit pricey but the hotel looked fab and it was the cheapest quote I could find for that hotel, it also included breakfast. It was a 4 star and in the city centre. I did my research on Tripadvisor and found out everything I needed to know about the hotel and area.
I finally decided to book through Cresta. However, I decided not to check out the link titled 'Hotel Information' as I figured I knew everything about the hotel anyway.
2 weeks before I was due to leave I still hadn't received my tickets or invoice. I contacted Cresta and spoke to a lady who said she would send them straight out. A week later I still hadn't received anything. I contacted Cresta again. 3 days later i received my tickets but no invoice.
On the tickets it stated: 'an additional charge of £30 pp is to be paid direct to the hotel on the final night'. I thought they had gotten it wrong so I contacted Cresta. I spoke to a man who confirmed I did have to pay £60 on departure direct to the hotel for the 3rd night. I told him that if that is the case, they shouldn't advertise the 3rd night as 'FREE' on their website. He said I should have noticed the request on the 'Hotel Info' and my invoice. However, I never received my invoice and believe they dont send it to you as they want to hide the charge.
I am so angry that they are allowed to advertise a 'Free' night but really you are paying Cresta for two then paying the hotel for the final night. It is ridiculous.
It turned out that we loved the hotel and didn't want to kick up a fuss and paid. The hotel were apologetic and told us Cresta should have explained and they often have complaints about the advertised 'Free' night.

yes thats a good idea. I feel so angry that they can do this to people. £60 is a lot of money to me. I dont know how they can get away with doing this.0
