Top Rated Sellers

So sorry to be asking basic questions but I have not been ebaying for a while and there have been a lot of changes.

In order to be a Top Rated Seller do you need to be registered as a business seller?

Yes you do as well as fulfil the sale throughput and seller standards required.

You can check your status, even on a private account on the seller expanded dashboard. It even shows whether you would be eligible if you were a business.

Thank you Soolin. I figured as much.

I have one business account and one private. I'm a top rated seller on the business account and would be top rated on the private on if it went to business.

Thanks. There have been so many changes and I am not up to date and I feel that the communications you get from ebay are trying to hide the stuff you really need to know.

Actually the details of all this are in seller dashboard, you just need to expand it on a couple of clicks and you get all the requirements and where you sit.

If you do that you see one of the requirements is to be a business seller, so the rest of the figures can look good (although the turnover is hidden a further click away) but you get a warning 'no' sign if your account is private.
