Toshiba SP6100 Laptop - Shutdown

We have an old Toshiba SP6100 laptop.

After about 20mins of use, the laptop gets hot and stalls (locks up totally). The fan can be heard.

Its a really really old laptop and probably not worth repairing.

Anyone had this fault before.?
