Ask for a copy of the signature. Then compare it to others in the household. Definitely put a complaint in writing.

Let me guess, was the delivery service HDNL? (insert rolley eyes here...)

I'd contact the company who were supposed to have sent this item to you, explain what has happened. You should get one of two results:

1, the company realise the error and either get a replacement or refund sent out to you or get the delivery company to contact the person who took the item so they can give it back to you.

Or 2. They ask you to contact the police for a crime number (would be classed as a theft) so you can report it and they can either refund or send you out a replacement.

I used to work for a company who used HDNL, they used to make alot of mistakes. Not sure if they have cleared up their act or not as this was a few years back.
