Morning,
Quick question.
We had an accident with the previous car - total write off. I was the main driver and wifey was the named driver on the policy.
We now have a new motor and wifey will be the main driver and I will be the named driver.
The car insurance quote form on Moneysupermarket is asking the main driver to complete a section regarding previous claims/accidents.
Since wifey was the named driver on last policy (not the policyholder), does she have to register the details of the previous accident in this section?
Thanks,

It is a new quotation, treat it as such
She is now the main driver so the previous accident should be entered in the relevant section.0 -
Yes. It's a claim under your old policy irrespective of who the driver was.The man without a signature.0

She didn't hold the policy so, assuming she wasn't driving at the time of the accident, she has no need to declare it in her details.
It would need to added, as has been said, as part of the named driver's details.0 -

That would be my understanding but I would question whether this driver switch is being done to try and minimise the effect on the premium and care must be given to whether it is entirely accurate as if not, it would potentially disqualify a claim.
The records will, if they collate them, show up a switch and as that happened at the exact time of the write off, it would raise a red flag to me !0
