Just change your e-mail or your password atleast. 2014: £20 voucher from SurveyFriends, £10 cash payout from Panel Opinion too and working towards more from Valued Opinions currently.
2013: £35 and £50 vouchers from SurveyFriends! More than £15 made from other paid surveys sites (Yougov, Panel Opinion, Valued Opinions, Pinecone, etc.) Happy so far!0 -
Thank you all very much for your help. I've changed password and downloaded Microsoft Security Essentials and done full scan. It found one dodgy item and I clicked the "clean computer" button.
Grandmaster - I will follow your advice as well ty

This same thing happend to me. Also with a hotmail account. I have Avira antivirus and Superantispyware, and I scan 3-4 times a week. I thought this would never happen to me.
I have now download malwarebytes to see if it find something not being found before.
It it does not, do that mean only that particular hotmail adress is hijacked? From the answers above I understand its possible to hijack email without infecting my computer? Is that true? Meaning my other passwords for other email are probably safe? Im so nervous right now.0 -
I've had a similar problem for several years but as far as I'm aware, apart from annoying emails which get diverted to junk in Outlook, I haven't suffered any other problems.
There are two particular types of mail I get:
1. mail in my inbox that appears to come from myself but not my email address
2 mail from various regular sources like The Washington Post, an Alumni, or various individuals addressed to some called Thomas Pender
All appear to originate in the states. None of them appear to be inviting me to click anything or reply or anything else outwardly suspicious
I have an ntlworld email address
Anyone got any thoughts?Awaiting a new sig0
