My OH is a Field Service Engineer and he was laid off y'day and sent home...

They couldn't tell him how long he'd be laid off but he is paid per hour so no work = no pay ... how long can he be laid off until they have to legally declare him as redundant?

Can't believe this has happened again ... he was made redundant about 18 months ago and luckily found this job after a few months of searching :( mechanical engineering seems to be going down the pan :(
