At the time I fully expected cex to come back to me and reclaim the overpayment. This was over a week ago and I've not heard from back from them. Does anyone know where I stand with this - Is the email I sent them sufficient action? Do CEX have the right to request the overpayment back - and if so how long in the future could they do this?

If its a genuine overpayment then they do have a right to it and they have up to 6 years to claim it, you could run the risk but you will find these things come to bite you at the worst of times so if it were me, id keep up contact with them to get it off my hands. In the mean time ring fence the £200 and dont spend it.Back by no demand whatsoever.0
