anxious about beginning a level 3 module

hi,
i am soon going to be starting a level 3 module in facilitating and learning (equivalent to a 3rd year degree level).
i am not academic and i have never been to uni before. the assignments are at 3rd year degree level and i haven`t written an essay in over 20 years!!!!!!
i really want to pass this module, but i am worried about the standards the uni are expecting.
basically i am really nervous about the whole course and am wondering if anyone can give me some tips and advice.
the course will enable me to mentor student nurses. i am an rgn but trained many many moons ago....
