Went into my local Sinsburys on Saturday, brought some bags with me...
Brought alot more than i expected to and ran out of strong carriers, asked for a 'bag for life'....
"Out of Stock"?? ..... Here i am trying to be green!... (i am not paying £1 for one that i can not fold up and place in my bag!)...
Also, wanted to get some BBQ sauces to marinade my BBQ food items, was shown the HP/BBQ sauce twice, then saome BBQ silver plates... eventually told they didnt have any..??
They sell BBQ Charcoal but nothing to put on your meat??

This doesn't necessarily apply to you but I think it's funny when people think they are saving the environment by buying a "bag for life" when they have 10s of them at home. If you have them at home then you're not helping the environment, you're using more plastic, so you should just use the free plastic bags.0

Yes i agree actually with you, i have a few, i dont buy them that often and when they break i exchange them, its easier to carry bulky items home rather then several carrier bags in hands.. i think the plastic bags are flimsy and cant carry that much. I always carry a bag for life in my bag incase i need a carrier... or iif go into TK Maxx or M&S....
But yes people who want to be environmentally friendly shouldnt keep buying them!! the idea is to re use the ones you have got!!!!
So yes it annoys me too lol x:A'Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much'My Challenge has begun!!!0 -
In 08,I worked for Sainsbury's for a while & they also ran out of bags for life while I was there. That is until I found a stack of them behind the bakery flour bags in the back stores....
How's this for stupidity.Around the Christmas time, the store de-listed Atora Suet, which as you know is used in puddings including the Aptly maned Christmas one...sods law we had tons of eager bakers in the store looking for Atora & then had to go to the big 24hr Tesco over the road to get it.0 -
I think every supermarket in the country was sold out of BBQ stuff on Saturday.0
