Buyer no longer Registered

I sold an piece of furniture for collection only on 11th April. Buyer contacted me on 14th April to apologise that they hadn't been in touch but they were stranded abroad due to ash cloud but requested address details to arrange pick. They then paid me via paypal.

I responded with pick up details but since then I have heard nothing. I was going to contact them again but when I checked today they are no longer a registered user.

What now?

well I would wait until they contact you I guess, I do know that all sales are cancelled after from past experience, but they will no doubt raise a claim with paypal because they have paid, I would simply wait and see what they do.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

How long do I wait for though? It's already been six weeks.

Refund them & contact ebay. I think as they are no longer registered you will get your fees back.

I'm confused now. i entered my information into the resolution centre saying I wanted to cancel the transaction and its already been closed by ebay and my FVF refunded because the buyer is no longer registered. I thought I would have to wait a week for the normal process to be followed.

I thought that might happen, but wasn't sure.

Just refund them & relist, don't get into any deal with them if they do want the item. If possible it isn't a good idea to accept Paypal on collection items as it leaves you open to a Paypal dispute which you wont be able to prove delivery,

I did list in my item - payment on collection preferred - but of course you can't insist that people do this. I've cleared a whole house of furniture and 90% have paid on collection.
