https://www.travelaxe.com/NewSite/Information_Overview.asp good little piece of software for checking hotel prices and it also lets you check whats on

I strongly recommend using these guys: http://www.travelworm.com
They are effectievly something of a clearing house for hotels in Vegas.
The hotels are all so huge that they always have loads of rooms spare unless:
(a) it is a Friday or Saturday night; or
(b) conventions are on.
Travelworm are very efficient and usually cheaper than going to the hotels themselves. They are excellent for times that do not fall into (a) or (b) above.
I have used them the last 2 times that I went there. The deal they offered me (at Ladyluck) was so good it was cheaper than staying in a hostel and the room had two (use your imagination why they do this in Vegas...!!) double beds, a TV nice bathroom etc i.e. about £10 a night per person with two of us sharing the room. Excellent.
The next time I went unfortunately coincided with two enormous conventions and rooms were very difficult to come by. I tried Ladyluck direct and they said they were full...I then remembered about Travelworm and they got me the last room in the hotel. Perfect!
I hope you enjoy. There is so much to do there...and excellent for MSErs if you are looking for free/cheap stuff to do. The buffets are phenomenal usually and often surprisingly good quality for very little cashola.

if you book direct with the hotel and later the price drops, you can call the hotel and they will honour any change in price. I stayed at the MGM Grand last october (Sunday-wednesday, the cheapest time of the week) and payed $79 per night, which included a total of $70 in dining credits plus a spa credit of $25. we got this by checking the website four days before we were due to arrive. you can also cancel your booking and move to another hotel.0
