I'm going to run my washing machine on a timer.
The switch at the back is hard to get to, but, luckily for me, there's a switch on the wall above the work surface to control the lower socket.
The best option I've found so far is: http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=12544&ts=01051#
Ideally I'd prefer something a bit simpler that also fits onto a 1 gang switch box.

Got mine from Lidl...3 for £10, the sort with segments that press down. Pound shops do 'em.
Similiar to those on Screwfix page 322.summer catalogue.
In the winter I use mine for the slow cooker, comes on for 4 hrs finishing at 7am.
If it's difficult to get to once set, leave it on , and use the on/ off switch at the washing machine.
Don't like gangs.;)0 -
Ah, I want to occasionally override it for daytime washing.Happy chappy0
