Netbook advice please!

Options
I'm looking to buy a netbook sub £250. I don't want Windows 7 starter though. A decent battery life would be good but not absolutely essential as it will mainly be for use at home.
Is it worth getting one with XP or should I be looking for full Windows 7?
Any recommendations welcome!
Thanks :)

  • Hi, if you go to ebay and search for 'ebuyerexpress' in 'shops' you can get a samsung 130 'new 'for under £170!( cheapest i've found) windows xp is fine, i cant see microsoft stoping support for this as so many budget laptops are still using it.
    hope this helps

Go for the Samsung or the Asus. Anything else usually has half the battery life or less. The best netbook is the Samsung NC10 and its only surpassed by the latest generation using nVidia ION chipsets but you'll not find them under £250.

Check out the argos clearance on ebay. They have netbooks starting at £140.
